I am a PhD Candidate in Sociology at Columbia University

I work on questions around migration, race, ethnicity, and diasporic identity. I am particularly interested in how migration processes and immigrant identity intersect with projected futures and imagined pasts.

Prior to this, I was Director of Research at INCITE, where I managed REALM, a multi-center research program on labor migration to the GCC.

I received an M.Phil in Sociology and Demography from Oxford University in 2016, and a B.A. in Social Research and Public Policy from NYU Abu Dhabi in 2014.
